Acid Mix
Acid planting mix is used for acid loving plants, such as
Azaleas, Camellias, Hydrangeas, Rhododendrons, Citrus, Maples, Ferns, Dogwoods
and conifers. Acid planting mix can be used for outdoor containers and for
planting plants into the ground. When used for planting plants into the
ground, you should dig a hole twice the size of the root structure of the plant
and 6" deeper than the plant you are planting. Place the plant in the hole and
backfill the hole with a mixture of 1/2 acid planting mix and 1/2 existing soil.
The plants should be watered and a mulch of acid planting mix should be added on
the surface surrounding the plant.
