General Information - Leonotis is a South African
plant and is a member of the mint family. Leonotis can grow to 4-6 feet tall and
4-6 feet wide. The square hairy stems carry opposite pairs of narrow toothed
leaves that are approximately 2 - 5" long. Leonotis blooms all summer and even
into fall. Orange tubular flowers are approx 1 to 2 inches in long and are
bourn in 2 inch diameter ball clusters up the stem. Flowers are covered with a fur like coat of hair
and somewhat fuzzy.
